Embroidery can show off your personality, add a touch of art to your wardrobe, and sew much more!  Join us in summer camp for these little touches of texture and color!  Embroider your way into making fancy and custom patches, wall hangings, and more!  Students will learn modern hand embroidery techniques while compiling abstract textile collages and artistic pieces! Campers will leave camp with the ability to embellish textile items from towels to placemats, napkins to pillows, and jeans pockets to jacket cuffs.

    Drop–off: 8:50 AM -9:00 AM | Pick–up: 11:50 AM -12:00 PM

WATER We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle from home. Creating art makes you thirsty!

SNACK Students are welcome to bring a snack to be eaten during our daily break times. Health + Food Allergy Notice: For the safety of others, students cannot share food. We ask for parents and guardians to be mindful of other children who may have potentially life-threatening allergies. To reduce this risk, please do not bring foods with peanuts and tree nuts.

LUNCH If your child is attending both AM and PM camps, they will be supervised during a lunch and break period. Students must bring their lunch from home. This option is available only to students attending AM and PM camps in a week.

ART SUPPLIES Sawtooth will provide all materials and supplies needed for camp. They may be asked to bring certain recycled materials from home, but this is not a requirement.
McFetters, Grace

Grace McFetters has studied various fiber arts since 2013, starting with knitting.  She began to explore weaving in early 2017. Grace established her fiber studio, Transcend Fiber Studio, in 2018, and formalized her fiber business in early 2020.  She has taught Ukrainian Easter Eggs since 2011, and began teaching fiber arts, including knitting, weaving, hand spinning, and dyeing since 2018. As Grace grows as an artist and continues learning new techniques, she continues to add to her teaching repertoire.  She now teaches sewing, both by hand and by machine, as well as some fun topics like needle felting, wool painting, and textile collage!
