Tonight you will acquire new skills in creating jewelry with beads and findings. Learn how to work with chain, bead tips, clasps, and more while creating some earring pairs and a bracelet too, if you choose! You will gain knowledge about using diverse kinds of tools and info on how to use all those tiny jewelry findings available.
Venece Peddicord
Venece Peddicord is a jewelry designed and silversmith with a passion for teaching and creating. She is eclectic and works with semiprecious beads and stones, leather, precious metal clay, and mixed metals. She has been creating and selling her jewelry for over 20 years, online, in stores and art galleries.
She is also a painter who works in acrylic, watercolor and mixed media, showing her award-winning work in the Burbank Art Association and the Glendale Art Association art shows. She is a recent resident in Winston-Salem, having moved from California.
Venece is a retired art teacher who worked for the Los Angeles United School District. She also taught jewelry metal fabrication at Los Angeles City College.
Venece studied art and design at UCLA and California State University at Los Angeles. At UCLA she earned her Bachelor of Art in Art/Design and a Master's Degree in Art Education from Cal State LA. She continued her education to earn a teaching credential and a single subject teaching credential in art.
