Students will be led on an artistic, eco-adventure through the biomes of the Earth, from Amazonian rainforests to Artcitc tundras, in search of creative inspiration from diverse plants, insects, animals, and terrains. Using this abundance of source material, they will learn new skills and techniques as they create tile mosaics, paint landscapes, and collaborate on a group art project in this week-long class.

Ages 6-8

Booze, Sarah

Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural landscapes of the world and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels. 

Through color, brushwork, and composition, her art illustrates the tranquility and allure of nature. The landscapes she paints possess a quiet simplicity which invites the viewer to dive in and sit for a while.
