We will be traveling the world through art from Brazil to Tibet to Japan during this class! Come learn about various cultures of the world and their art. We will talk about the importance of color to culture and make pieces of art inspired by different cultures and countries, such as Buddhist sand mandalas and Japanese woodblock prints.

Ages 6-8

Booze, Sarah

Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of the natural landscapes of the world and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels. 

Through color, brushwork, and composition, her art illustrates the tranquility and allure of nature. The landscapes she paints possess a quiet simplicity which invites the viewer to dive in and sit for a while.
