Drawing from Nature focuses on the practice and development of drawing skills while concentrating on natural shapes, forms, textures and colors. We will sketch and make studies in each class. Students will explore various approaches to drawing from nature, using Images from art history as inspiration. They will leave the class with at least one finished close-up drawing of a plant, flower, or natural object of their choice.

When drawing from nature, we can develop an understanding that will enhance our drawings of all natural forms from the tiniest to the largest, from seeds to elephants!
