Begin the exciting art of woodturning with multiple centers to create wobbly looking, eccentric creations. You'll learn to set up your work to turn at multiple different axes using a standard four-jawed chuck so that you can continue this work without having to invest in very expensive specialized equipment. The instructor will discuss material and tool selection, sharpening for this style of turning, and techniques. Some proficiency in turning spindles will be necessary, as multi-axis turning is an extension of these skills. This class is for intermediate and advanced woodturners with their own tools. We'll be using primarily 1/2" spindle gouges and narrow parting tools for the majority of the work.

Additional Information:
  • A $15 materials fee is due to the instructor upon the start of class.
  • Registration will close one week prior to the start of class to allow adequate time for material sourcing
  • This class is open to students ages 18 and up.
