Are your files and file management a mess? Does your _DSC-3822 file name tell you,

Where it was taken?
When it was taken?
The content of the photograph?
The themes and trends in your work as a photographer?

It should, and much much more. This class is essential for every photographer. We can easily create thousands upon thousands of images a year. Learn strategies and techniques for protecting, preserving, and easily locating images in your photo catalog in the days, years, or even decades after the shoot. Hard Drives are just tools that come and go but your knowledge and implementation of proper File Management techniques is the real image Vault. Understand the importance of file name paths, redundant 3-2-1 backups, culling, automated physical and/or online backups, and more. Protect yourself against file corruption/misplacement and learn the proper method/s for preserving your photographic life's work. This class will focus primarily on Digital Camera files though we will cover smartphone photo management as well. Suitable for Ages: 15-Adult

  • Masks and Social distancing protocols are required.
  • No camera needed. A basic understanding of Adobe Lightroom is preferred but not required. This workshop WILL NOT focus on any one specific brand of photo software to create a robust photo back strategy.
