In this 3 week online via zoom class online students will learn how to create a short one- or two-page comics using drawing tablets and Adobe Photoshop, students will develop a simple story idea and then make a colored, multi-paneled comic. Required skills: basic drawing skills and general familiarity with computers.

One of the following devices are required to take this class.

1. Pen and Paper OR
2. An Ipad OR
3. A laptop/desktop computer.

  • Either a Laptop or, a Tablet with a drawing pencil. A stable internet connection and the ability to log onto the Zoom.
Lopes, Natalia

Natalia is a queer Latinx illustrator making queer horror art, comics, and zines. She has a Masters in Art and Design from NC State University's College of Design, with a concentration on animation and visual storytelling. She runs MystoPress, a micropress that is home to her eerie and nightmarish works, and has been funding her comics on Kickstarter as of 2019. When she is not freelancing or working on new projects, she teaches classes to teens and adults in non-profit art centers around North Carolina.
