Explore ceramics and learn the basics of hand building while having fun in this 4-week afterschool class! Each session brings new projects, concepts, and an opportunity to build on skill already learned. Students will practice pinch, slab and coil techniques to create various projects in clay. After manipulating the material with your hands and leaving the clay out to dry slowly, you will apply color to your ceramic pieces, like painting, with a special glaze.

  • New and returning students are encouraged. Projects will be fired after the last class. You will receive an email a few weeks post class when the ceramic artwork is ready for pick up. A material fee of $10 is due upon registration. Class size is limited to 8 students ages 6-8. Masking and social distancing is required in all Sawtooth classes.
