In this four week course we will explore the traditional still life paintings of the Dutch masters, such as Vermeer and Rembrandt. Understanding the significance of different objects used in traditional still life paintings, and their meanings during the Dutch Golden Age, we will build our own still life. We will learn and practice introductory oil painting skills and build on our still life paintings by using traditional palettes and glazing. A great course for beginner oil painters or those wanting to dive back in to their creativity!
