Start your exploration of woodturning in this fun and fast-paced series of projects. Students will be introduced to the lathe and lathe safety, material selection & preparation, as well as basic turning tools, concepts, and skills. All materials included in class fee. No woodworking experience necessary and classes are open to all skill levels. Class size is limited to provide plenty of individual attention and lots of hands-on practice. The class is open to students ages 16 and up. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes. Class will meet from 6 pm - 8:30 pm on Friday evening for introductions and material prep, and then spend the following Saturday in the Lathe studio from 10 am to 4 pm with a mid day lunch break.
