Learn to create a beautiful silver Feather Wrap Ring in this beginner's jewelry making workshop. Sarah will introduce you to the jeweler's studio and some basic jewelry fabrication tools. Then she'll show you how to use sterling silver sheet and wire to create an adjustable feather wrap ring. Learn to saw, texture, hammer, file, fuse and apply a beautiful finish to your silver while you make a one-of-a-kind wearable ring. This workshop is open to ages 14 and up. $20 supply fee is payable at registration and includes all materials, supplies and use of tools and equipment. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
Originally scheduled for January 28th this workshop is now postponed until February 5th (due to inclement weather.) 

Harvell, Sarah

Sarah was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Floyd, Virginia and now resides in Winston-Salem, NC. She earned her BFA from Radford University in 2013 where she majored in Jewelry and Metalsmithing with an emphasis in fabrication and lost wax casting. In 2016 she received her MFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University with a focus on shell forming and color on metal. In 2018, she launched Ravena Metalworks – a collection of one-of-a-kind, limited edition jewelry and small sculpture.
