Learn to create a beautiful wire-wrapped cabochon stone pendant in this fun one-day workshop. Vickie will guide you through the steps for showcasing a stunning stone in gleaming sterling silver. Learn about different wires, pliers, and finishing techniques and how you can apply these wrapping techniques to an oval cabochon. No soldering is done in this class. You may bring or purchase an oval-shaped cabochon from the instructor. Prices vary. A kit fee of $25 will be collected by the instructor during the workshop and includes silver wire necessary and use of tools and equipment or bring your own tools. No experience needed. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.

Hodges, Victoria

Vickie Hodges lives in Winston Salem, NC and has been beading most of her life. She's currently a member of the Kernersville Arts and Craft Guild, The Twin City Artisans, Winston Salem's AFAS (Art For Art's Sake) and the Red Dog Gallery. She currently has pieces of her artwork in The Couture shop in Kernersville and also Winston Salem, and in the Butterfly Effect in Greensboro, NC.  She currently teaches wire classes at the Sawtooth School, William Holland Shool of Lapidary Arts, Earth Songs in Greensboro and also teaches wire classes as well as beading classes in her home studio. She's a board member of the Greensboro Gem and Mineral club and has been a member for many years. Vickie loves to share her knowledge and is guaranteed to make you laugh in her classes. She is open to custom pieces at her discretion.
