This class is for beginners. Artist Craig Richards teaches the fundamentals of the acrylic medium and painting through an easy 5 step process called, “The Hand”. Students will find encouragement, friendship and the joy of painting. A supply list will be provided.

We take a max of 6 students in the class, and the course is open to ages 14 through adult. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.

Craig has a deep love for the outdoors, spending most of his free time climbing, paddling and hiking. This love is reflected in the essence of his paintings and sculptures. His paintings are primarily in oils reflecting a variety of styles. His sculptures combine the feel of the natural world coupled with sparks of modern elements. He is the founding member of Triad Outdoor Painters a group of local artists in the NC Piedmont and Foothills and a long time member of Muddy River Art Association.
