Get acquainted with the basics of using a vacuum pressing system to make veneered panels, bent laminations, and take the place of clamps in certain situations. Students will gain an understanding of adhesives, setting up the bag, making bending forms, and sawing veneer on the bandsaw. Get hands on with the equipment and set up a few operations in class. Learn this useful tool that opens up a myriad of options for working in a small shop and is the perfect steppingstone for those interested in the world of veneer. The class is open to students ages 18 and up. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
