Take your drawing skills to the next level using unexpected tools and materials. Learn about artists that use drawing and mark making in non-traditional ways. Create and use a sketchbook to record ideas and plan work. Some materials will be provided and available for pick up at Sawtooth a week prior to the start of class.

Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 6-July 15 from 2-4pm.

Mahler, Katherine

Katherine Mahler is a Winston Salem based artist and teacher. She has been teaching art for 20 years to students of all ages. With degrees in Studio Art and Art Education, she is passionate about teaching students to think and work like artists. Katherine’s work has been shown in galleries and shows in Michigan, North Carolina, Louisiana and Texas. Her work is in several private collections across the country. Katherine started out as a sculptor and currently works in printmaking and mixed media exploring ideas around community, memory and identity.
