Have a particular hand built form in mind, but don’t know how to create a template to construct that form? Students will learn methods for translating a three dimensional form into a flat template which can be used to recreate that form multiple times. Rather than trace someone else’s template, personalize your templates to reflect your own design aesthetic. Forms covered include bowls, mugs, pitchers, spouts, vases, butter dishes, and more.

  • Cloth face coverings and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.
  • Ages: 13 - Adult
  • Materials for making the templates will be provided.
Moyer, Warren

Warren received his BS degree in art education from Kutztown University and his MFA in ceramics from Ohio University. Upon completing grad school, he assumed the position of director of the ceramic program at Sawtooth in 1989. As a member of Piedmont Craftsmen, his primary focus is handbuilt vessels which he creates in his home studio.
