This pass gives you access to the Sawtooth ceramics studios for 3 weeks during the intersession: March 15th - April 3rd. You will have access to our wheel throwing, hand building, and glazing areas as well as your personal cubby space and room on overflow shelving for work in progress. Registrants will be guaranteed a minimum of 22 hours of open studio access per week of the intersession.

  • There are a limited number of Intersession Access Passes available to guarantee each registered student 22 - 27 1/2 hours of access each week.

  • Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM

  • This pass is available only to students who have taken at least 2 clay classes at Sawtooth and must be approved by the Ceramics Program Director. To register, email sethcharles@sawtooth.org. Please indicate if you will work in the hand building or the wheel throwing studio and if you would like to be in slot #1 (9:30 AM - 3:00 PM) or slot #2 (3:30 PM - 9:00 PM).

Charles, Seth

Seth Charles is a studio artist and Director of Ceramics at Sawtooth School for Visual Art in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He holds a BFA from The University of North Florida and a MFA degree from Central Washington University. He has been a professor of visual art at State College of Florida and Central Washington University and has lectured and led workshops around the country. Seth has been a long term artist in resident at The Clay Studio of Missoula and Morean Center for Clay. His work has been shown in numerous national and international exhibitions and is held in public and private collections. Seth is co-owner of A&S Kiln Building and Consultation Services and has built wood fired kilns at multiple schools and clay centers across the country including Washington, Vermont, Montana, and Florida.
