                                    This glass beadmaking class will set a firm foundation of skills and take beginners through all the basics of glass bead making in a flame. Learn to create the traditional round bead, then increase skills by learning to use other tools to shape the beads and apply other forms of glass (stringers, frit, etc.) Students with experience may practice more advanced surface effects and shaped beads. Soft glass COE 104 is used in the beadmaking classes. Materials included in the fee. We take just 4 students in this class, so sign up soon! Class open to ages 16 through adult. Jeff Wilson
Jeff Wilson is a self-taught artist specializing in all forms of glass arts including glassblowing and lampworking, glass beadmaking, glass fusing and slumping, and stained glass. He has been the featured glass artist at the Carolina Classic Fair in Winston-Salem for over a decade and has taught for the Sawtooth School for more than 15 years.
