Guided Metals Studio is appropriate for the advanced beginner learning metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication. Guided Metals Studio allows students to continue work on jewelry fabrication projects of their choosing with the guidance of an experienced metalsmith/instructor. Advance your jewelry fabrication skills while Nannette offers tips and tricks of the metalsmith. Experience is required. 510. Beginning Metals/Jewelry Fabrication is fine preparation. Students provide their own materials. Tools are available to share in the studio, or you may bring your own. Guided Metals Studio is limited to six students. If space remains, seats may be offered on a weekly basis. Check website class listings for availability. Masks and social distancing are required in this and all Sawtooth classes.

Davis, Nannette

Nannette Davis graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and communication and a bachelor’s degree in fine art in metalsmithing. After working as a lead bench and assistant for a jewelry designer in Chicago, she built her studio and started a jewelry line. She worked for 16 years in Gatti-Davis Designs Studio in Colorado then moved to Winston-Salem in 2005 and taught in the public schools through 2011. She teaches classes at Sawtooth and sells her jewelry through craft shows and galleries.
