This class is for students ready to expand their repertoire to include color and texture beyond what the wood gives us. Students will create a few small objects like spinning tops and candlesticks, and embellish them with paint, markers, woodburning, and power carving. We will talk about shape and scale, color, specialty tools, sharpening, and finishing. This is a great introduction to taking woodturning in a more sculptural direction.
