In this class students will learn a variety of watercolor techniques including glazing, dry brush and wet techniques.Students will use their favorite techniques to plan and create a work of art with personal meaning.

  • 90lb watercolor paper or bristol board/card stock. Prang brand 16 color half pan watercolor set, pencil,colored pencils, vinyl eraser, flat and round brushes of various sizes, painter’s tape.

Mahler, Katherine

Katherine Mahler is a Winston Salem based artist and teacher. She has been teaching art for 20 years to students of all ages. With degrees in Studio Art and Art Education, she is passionate about teaching students to think and work like artists. Katherine’s work has been shown in galleries and shows in Michigan, North Carolina, Louisiana and Texas. Her work is in several private collections across the country. Katherine started out as a sculptor and currently works in printmaking and mixed media exploring ideas around community, memory and identity.
