Learn how to work with open back wire bezels and UV resin. First, learn to make your own freeform bezels using ordinary copper wire and a few flicks of the wrist. Then the fun really begins! Create luscious colors using mica powders and glitter and bury all sorts of tiny treasures — dried flowers, watch parts, micro beads, gold and silver foil, paper scraps, and whatever else we can put our hands on. Put it all together with a lovely bead mix to create a fantastic, unique charm bracelet. A kit fee of $45 will be collected during the workshop and includes all materials and supplies.

Flora, Phyllis

Phyllis Flora has been making jewelry since 2000, and is primarily self-taught. Nearly twenty years ago, she chucked a life of crime (as a criminal defense attorney, that is), to pursue jewelry design and teaching full time. She developed and taught hundreds of classes at her bead store just outside Boston, and subsequently at her metalworking studio, pflora metal arts. She has recently relocated to North Carolina where she continues to pursue her jewelry design and is developing a curriculum of online classes. Phyllis delights when students run with the techniques they learn in class and go on to develope their own designs and techniques.
