This fun and challenging class is designed for beginners and returning students to the pottery wheel. With daily demonstrations and on-on-one attention, students learn the basic elements of wheel throwing while making cups, bowls and more. They will choose their finishing glaze colors. No experience necessary. Repeat students are encouraged.

Ages 13-18

  • Due to time constraints, glazing and firing will be done by the instructor for pickup later.
  • Materials and firing included.
Leonard, Cynthia

Cynthia Leonard has been a ceramicist with her own studio for over 20 years. She has attended numerous ceramics workshops at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and the Sawtooth Center. She has developed her teaching skills during her two decades as an Art Educator at Reynolda House Museum of American Art, focusing on individualized instruction for students.
