This is the perfect workshop for Mother’s Day. Bring in a special family photo to create a handmade gift.

This workshop will teach students how to paint a portrait digitally using a photo reference,?in color or in black and white. Students will learn about photoshop brushes, value painting, starting portrait, sampling colors, and adding details.

Lopes, Natalia

Natalia is a queer Latinx illustrator making queer horror art, comics, and zines. She has a Masters in Art and Design from NC State University's College of Design, with a concentration on animation and visual storytelling. She runs MystoPress, a micropress that is home to her eerie and nightmarish works, and has been funding her comics on Kickstarter as of 2019. When she is not freelancing or working on new projects, she teaches classes to teens and adults in non-profit art centers around North Carolina.
