Students will learn the basics of Photoshop and apply digital tools to create drawings and illustrations. Students will get to use the Huion drawing monitors and pens. By the end of the class they will be able to use the photoshop toolbar, creating a file, customizing brushes, how to use layers, blend modes, experiment with tools. They will be able to create an image and learn some intermediate drawing tips.

Lopes, Natalia

Natalia is a queer Latinx illustrator making queer horror art, comics, and zines. She has a Masters in Art and Design from NC State University's College of Design, with a concentration on animation and visual storytelling. She runs MystoPress, a micropress that is home to her eerie and nightmarish works, and has been funding her comics on Kickstarter as of 2019. When she is not freelancing or working on new projects, she teaches classes to teens and adults in non-profit art centers around North Carolina.
