Shell forming techniques are ancient and are an amazing way to add three-dimension to your metal work. In this class, micro-shell forming topics will be covered as well as some full-scale shell forming techniques. Learn shell forming, using non-ferrous (Nu-gold, sterling silver, copper, etc.) sheet metal to create three-dimensional synclastic and anti-clastic forms. You'll learn to include more three-dimensional aspects to your jewelry and metal work. A 30 pound kit of tools is provided for each student at a rental fee of $30 (payable during class) and students need only to supply their own metal. All tools provided are manufactured by NC Black Co LLC. More than 30 class hours! Don't miss this opportunity to study with a master metalsmith. (age 16 to adult)
