Let’s explore the art of colorful glass by learning how to fuse and slump glass. You will learn the basic skills to make glass plates, coasters, and bowls! We will start out by teaching you glass cutting basics. Students will purchase their own glass materials and supplies, discussed at the first class. Glass work will be fired at Sawtooth. Advanced students may explore more challenging pieces and techniques. (age 16 to adult)

Pettinati-Longinotti, Betti

Betti Pettinati-Longinotti works in drawing, painting and glass- fused, mosaic and stained glass. She received a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and her MA from the University of the Arts/ Philadelphia, in Art Education with a studio major in Glass. She graduated, June 2012 with an MFA in Visual Arts through the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. Her work has been shown internationally. Betti is a juried member of Artworks Gallery and Piedmont Craftsmen, and also holds membership in the American Glass Guild.
