This workshop will focus on form and surface with an emphasis on color. The design process from inspiration, prototyping, and creation will be discussed and demonstrated with wheel-thrown, hand-built, and simple slump mold making. We will show how to make and use custom templates and tools for those unique shapes. Forms will range from utilitarian-ware like bowls and cups to more decorative pieces such as bottles. Using a process of replication will allow the creation of a form that can be explored with a variety of colors. We will also delve into the use of color and the psychological relation to emotion, identity and more. Ages: 13 - Adult
