Using rubber printing plates, carve an image that can be used for printing on paper and impressing into clay. Create the plate and print the image on paper the first day. On the second day, press your plate into clay to create a raised image. These low relief clay impressions can be formed int o a shallow tray, mug, etc. Clay pieces will be plazed and fired for pickup later.

Moyer, Warren

Warren received his BS degree in art education from Kutztown University and his MFA in ceramics from Ohio University. Upon completing grad school, he assumed the position of director of the ceramic program at Sawtooth in 1989. As a member of Piedmont Craftsmen, his primary focus is handbuilt vessels which he creates in his home studio.
