The video gaming industry is one of the largest, fastest-growing industries in the world. Every game begins in a sketchbook, and all video game development companies employ teams of artists to design imaginative worlds for play. Students will be introduced to the core skills necessary to be video game concept artists, which could be the first major step toward an exciting education and career.

By the end of the course students will have designed and illustrated their original characters, vehicles, background/landscape designs, and anything else their imaginative worlds include.

  • Please note students will not be creating actual video games in this class. Required skills: basic drawing skills and general familiarity with computers.
  • Thumb drive for saving work
