Learn experimental collage techniques using additive and subtractive paper methods, digital photocopying, and digital editing. Design collages with found paper materials and create decollages by cutting or tearing away layers. In the final class, learn how to scan in collages to create a digital image which can be manipulated even further using software such as Adobe Photoshop CC. Materials are provided but please bring any papers or magazines you like for collage. Come ready to explore, experiment, and play! No experience necessary.

Hayes, Taylor

Taylor Hayes is a contemporary artist who lives and works in Winston-Salem, NC. Hayes has an MFA in Visual Art from Lesley University College of Art and Design and a BA in Arts Management and Studio Art from Salem College. Hayes is a multimedia artist working in collage, printmaking, digital illustration, and installation. She has taught a variety of classes at Sawtooth since 2012 including: Marketing your Art, Adobe Photoshop, Experimental Screen Printing, and more.
