203E Beginning and Intermediate Wheelthrowing

Class Description

Beginners learn the basic techniques of throwing on the wheel along with related glazing techniques. Students with experience can refine their throwing skills while exploring new forms and design possibilities.

Special Notes

There will be open studio times available weekly during which students may work outside of their class time

Required Supplies

25 pounds of clay with accompanying glazes and firing included in class fee

Instructor

Dodie Campbell

Dodie graduated with a BFA in ceramics from Utah State University and an MFA in ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching beginning and advanced wheelthrowing at Sawtooth since 2006. When not running or driving her kids around town, you may find her in the studio stamping, carving, or drawing on the surface of her pots.
