The mountain dulcimer is a distinctly American folk instrument with origins in Appalachian culture. Many music teachers favor the mountain dulcimer for new students and consider it the easiest stringed instrument to learn to play. In this class students will learn about instrument body construction, veneers, fret placement, strings, tuning, and more. Course open to all skill levels. Materials: A $75 materials fee is due to instructor on first night of class.

Gondring, Kim

As an instructor I believe that every student can express artistic expression in every piece they create. Understanding the technology of woodworking is necessary to being able to support this vision. We teach both expression and technology. The details can be demanding, but at the end of the day the student will take away a creation they love and value.
