NEW! 6123. Paper Negatives ( Workshop) ( 14+)
Workshop - Photography | This class is completed
We will be making darkroom-based photographs using black-and-white photo
paper instead of film. Bring any functional, manual film camera you have
laying around, or make a pinhole camera and bring it to class. Students will leave the workshop with their own paper negatives and the knowledge to turn them into positives using their smartphone.
- Film Camera ( Sawtooth also has some to lend for the class)
Tim Bowman
Tim Bowman is an antique-process photographer who creates quiet
photographs of his immediate surroundings, often using manipulated or
handmade cameras. He is currently documenting the landscape in
Winston-Salem, his adopted hometown. He looks for the mystery in
ordinary things and is interested in the world as the camera sees it,
rather than as it actually is. Originally trained in film photography,
Tim rediscovered darkroom work after two decades of digital work
manipulating moving images for film and television. He is currently
working with paper negatives in large format cameras.
