Students will be trained to function as phlebotomists. A High School Diploma or GED is required to take this class. A criminal background check and immunization records are required. Students must also have a TB test and Hepatitis B vaccination. Uniform supplies will be provided. Includes Textbook and National Healthcareer Association certification exam and study guide materials. The National Healthcareer Association does not provide the exam in any language besides English and will not allow interpreter services. For more information visit https://info.nhanow.com/faqs.

    This course involves hands-on training in venipuncture, capillary collection, and other medical procedures that carry inherent risks associated with the handling of needles, blood, and other biological materials. By enrolling in this course, students acknowledge and accept these potential risks. Students are required to follow all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and instructor guidance at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and disposal of sharps and biohazard materials. Failure to adhere to these safety standards may result in disciplinary action and/or personal injury or exposure. Any injury or exposure sustained as a result of not following the proper safety procedures and instructions provided by the instructor will be the sole responsibility of the student.
