Students explore commercial, industrial, residential, public works, and institutional technologies to help them understand construction careers. Through hands-on projects, students learn proper safety procedures for tools and machinery, while exploring preconstruction and construction processes and investigating evolving technologies. Students apply mathematics concepts and principles used in construction.

- Course Safety Disclaimer – Construction Technology
This course involves the use of industrial construction tools, machinery, and materials that can be inherently dangerous if not used properly. By enrolling in this course, students acknowledge and accept the potential risks associated with construction activities, including the use of power tools, ladders, and heavy materials. Students are required to follow all safety protocols and instructor directions at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety procedures. Failure to comply with these safety standards may result in disciplinary action and/or personal injury. Any injury sustained as a result of not following the proper safety procedures and instructions provided by the instructor will be the sole responsibility of the student.
