Students will be trained to function as phlebotomists. A High School Diploma or GED is required to take this class. A criminal background check and immunization records are required. Students must also have a TB test and Hepatitis B vaccination. Includes Textbook and National Healthcareer Association certification exam and study guide materials. Dress code note: natural and/or acrylic nails must be kept below 1/4 (one-quarter) inch for safety and venipuncture purposes. Students must purchase a set of black scrubs to have ready to wear by the second week of class.
