The EKG (Electrocardiogram) Technician operates the equipment that measures monitor and electrical activity of the heart. This course provides all the necessary foundational and hands-on training to enter a career as an EKG Technician or Monitor Technician. The tuition price includes all required materials, textbooks, and testing fees. 

At the end of the course, students with passing grades will be eligible to take the National Healthcareer Association certification exam. This certification is a nationally recognized credential that is used to find gainful employment.

A high school diploma or GED is required to take this course. A background check may be required for employment. New Horizons does not provide externships or work placement.

This program is taught in a hybrid format. Tuesday will be held in person and Thursday will be held virtually over a web-based video call.
