This course offers a thoughtful and practical conversation about aging well and preparing for the future with greater confidence and peace of mind. Together, we will explore ways to thrive as we age while addressing important legal, financial, and personal decisions that often arise later in life. Topics will include helping spouses or loved ones navigate the many responsibilities connected to aging, durable power of attorney for financial matters, and organizing important information.
We will also discuss end-of-life planning, including decisions individuals and caregivers may expect during the final stages of life. By providing clear information and encouraging open conversation, these sessions aim to lessen the fear and uncertainty that often surround aging and end-of-life care. Participants will gain practical tools, insight, and reassurance through planning ahead and understanding available options. The sessions will also acknowledge that each person’s journey is unique, and that decisions, caregiving roles, and support needs are shaped by individual circumstances and family relationships.
