It is easier to manipulate us today than ever before in human history. We will look at previous propagandists like Joseph Goebbels, consider why he would have loved the Internet, and discuss what, if anything, we can do to protect ourselves when confronted with the firehose of modern propaganda.

Randall Bytwerk graduated from Calvin in 1971.  He returned to Calvin in 1985 and taught until his retirement in 2014.  He has written three books on German propaganda and maintains the on-line German Propaganda Archive, a large collection of translations and images from the Nazi and East Germany eras.
