Come celebrate the arrival of the Christmas season with the 106th annual presentation of Handel's Messiah. For many, the Messiah experience is more than just a performance. “They don’t just sing it as a piece of beautiful music, you can see the heart and soul in the music … They believe what they’re singing. They treat the concert as a form of worship,” Pearl Shangkuan said. The same is true for the audience: “No matter what is happening in my own life or in the world around me, Messiah always feels relevant and profound. This year’s performance will once again feature nearly the whole program in its entirety for full chorus and solos. We're pleased to welcome Dr. Mark Stover as the conductor, along with four soloists: Jennie Judd Reyes, soprano; Karen Albert, alto; Tyrese Byrd, tenor; Jonathan Lasch, baritone. The choir is comprised of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and other community members. Join us for a meaningful start to the Advent season.
