If you have ever wondered how your body functions, this course is your owner’s manual. The course will take you on a journey from head to toe and everything in between. We will use real-life examples as we go over a different body system each week. This course will cover the nervous system, bones, joints, and the skin. Arthritis, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's Disease, and more will be covered in those sessions. We will discuss what medicine can and cannot do about these and other conditions. By the end of this course, you will have a greater understanding of the marvelous complexity of the human body. Questions are encouraged. Note: Repeat enrollees are welcome to attend, as this class contains all new material.
Dr. Bruce Gardner graduated from Stanford University and received his medical degree from the University of Washington. He practiced primary care medicine for over 40 years in Seattle, both in private practice and in hospital. He worked as medical director of a large multispecialty group. In addition, he has worked in Nepal, Haiti, and as a ship’s physician in Antarctica.
