We will begin with how glaciers helped form the Ohio River in our area, Then to Kentucky to see how limestone helps form the bones of horses as well as the stalactites in Mammoth Cave, then to Vietnam for more karst topography. Next to our Pacific Northwest and the Channeled Scablands caused by melting glaciers and Missoula floods. We’ll look at erosion in arid areas like Utah and Arizona; examine earthquakes and the destruction they cause, including tsunamis; and conclude with the formation of the Appalachian Mountains.
