We'll do an in-depth analysis of films about events leading to the early years of the Holocaust. This is a discussion course (not a lecture), and you are encouraged to bring questions and comments to make the discussions lively. You must watch the films in advance of each class and will receive information about where to access them. We will begin with a close examination of the mini-series "The Plot Against America." Ideally, this course will be the first of three separate courses on the Holocaust in film.

Moderator: Leslye Friedberg is Professor Emeritus of English and Humanities (Community College of Philadelphia) and, for the last two years, has taught film courses on the Holocaust and other film courses through OLLI-Univ. of Arizona.
