We will look at solutions in five key areas to the divisiveness of politics and ineffectiveness in governing today. Our Constitution created the structure for a government that derives its powers from the consent of the governed. But it does not define HOW to govern; those rules are left to the members of Congress. But too many current rules result in partisan competition instead of effective governing. We will explore the details of new “citizen rules” in these five key areas that will result in less partisan policies that divide us and more collaborative policies to unite us.
